AN EYE FOR AN EYE A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH

How many times have you thought of seeking vengeance on that: girl/guy that broke your heart maybe not even once, that boss that unfairly sacked you and placed a friend to fill up your post, that person that conned you, that diva that has stolen your husband and broke your family, that man or woman your spouse cheated on you with, that long time enemy that failed you the interview due to unsettled grudges? We all have times we feel so angry that vengeance seems to right but to what extent do we go, is there a limit or a full stop? Well no matter how hard forgiveness is hard we must learn that there may be little satisfaction in vengeance and as the good book in new testament says not to take revenge on someone who wrongs you, if anyone slaps you on the right cheek let him slap your left cheek too.

Sleeping cruelty, a novel you may mis-judge by the look of the cover. The book explores how much people will take in revenge in order to get accepted in the social status it brings to light a very touching tale out of revenge and ends in a somber mood. Well it doesn’t matter how much vengeance feels right, once it’s done there is not enough satisfaction in it. No matter how hard it is, forgiveness always rules and it is strengthened by forgetting. The latter is the hardest but always gain faith in that no wrong goes unpunished and choices have consequences but it is not up to us to make the consequences or punish the wrongs, some are just beyond us.
